Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules that apply to your use of the Courselly platform (“Platform”), available at https://courselly.com. It supplements and forms part of our Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Platform to:

  • Access and view courses, lessons, and learning materials for your personal, non-commercial educational use
  • Track your learning progress and receive certificates of completion
  • Communicate with our support team and provide feedback
  • Share your own opinions and learning experiences in any community features we may offer, in a respectful manner

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not, and must not permit any third party to:

3.1. Misuse of accounts

  • Create an account using false, misleading, or another person’s information
  • Share, sell, lease, or transfer your account or login credentials to any other person
  • Allow multiple people to use a single subscription
  • Use automated tools (bots, scripts, scrapers) to create accounts or access content

3.2. Misuse of content

  • Copy, download, record, screen-capture, redistribute, resell, or publish any course materials, videos, text, images, or other content available on the Platform, except as expressly permitted
  • Use Platform content to train, fine-tune, or develop any artificial intelligence or machine learning model
  • Translate, modify, or create derivative works from Platform content
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

3.3. Disruption and security

  • Interfere with, disrupt, or impair the Platform, its servers, or networks
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, user accounts, or related systems
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform without prior written authorisation
  • Bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent any security feature, access restriction, or technical limitation
  • Upload, transmit, or introduce viruses, malware, worms, or other harmful code

3.4. Unlawful and harmful content

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
  • Post, transmit, or share content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or that incites violence
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Collect or harvest personal data of other users without their consent
  • Send unsolicited promotional or commercial communications (spam) through the Platform

3.5. Commercial misuse

  • Resell access to the Platform or its content
  • Use the Platform to compete with us or to develop a similar service
  • Use the Platform to deliver your own courses, host content, or provide services to third parties without our prior written consent

4. User-Generated Content

Where the Platform allows you to submit content (comments, reviews, feedback, profile information), you represent that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to that content
  • The content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law
  • The content complies with this AUP

By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform. You retain ownership of your content.

We reserve the right to review, moderate, edit, or remove any user-generated content at our discretion, without notice, if it violates this AUP or applicable law.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@courselly.com with details of the violation, including any relevant links, screenshots, or account information.

6. Enforcement

We may take any of the following actions if we believe you have violated this AUP, in our reasonable discretion:

  • Issue a written warning
  • Restrict, suspend, or terminate your account
  • Remove or disable access to specific content
  • Cancel your subscription without refund (where the violation is material)
  • Report the conduct to law enforcement or relevant authorities
  • Pursue civil or criminal remedies, including claims for damages

Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation. For serious or repeated violations, we may take action without prior notice.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
